新生夏令营｜在UEC的青春故事，从这个夏天开始（上）

周日的下午，校门口早早已是人影攒动。学校工作人员和学生志愿者早早守候在校门两侧，脸上洋溢着温暖的微笑，准备迎接新生的到来。志愿者们身着统一服装，穿梭在人群中，耐心解答每一个问题，为迷茫的新生指明方向。

On Sunday afternoon, the school gate was already bustling with people early on. School staff and student volunteers were waiting on both sides of the gate, their faces beaming with warm smiles, ready to welcome the new students. The volunteers, dressed in uniform, weaved through the crowd, patiently answering every question and guiding confused newcomers.

报到大厅内，各项工作井然有序地进行着。老师们亲切地接待每位新生，仔细核对信息，发放校园卡和新生开学大礼包。

Inside the registration hall, everything proceeded in an orderly manner. Teachers kindly received each new student, carefully verified information, and distributed campus cards and welcome packs.

下午的时候，食堂飘来阵阵香气。同学们和家长一起第一次体验了学校的餐饮。同学们端着餐盘找座位，有的和刚认识的朋友坐在一起，有的还和爸爸妈妈分享美食，整个食堂洋溢着温馨的氛围。

In the afternoon, the enticing aroma of food wafted from the cafeteria. Students and their parents experienced the school's catering for the first time. Students carried their trays looking for seats; some sat with newly made friends, while others shared the food with their parents. The entire cafeteria was filled with a warm atmosphere.

傍晚时分，在第一次班会上，每个同学都收到了一张特制的信纸和信封，教室里安静得只能听到写字的沙沙声，同学们静下心来，给未来的自己写一封信。

As evening fell, during the first class meeting, each student received a special piece of letter paper and an envelope. The classroom was so quiet you could only hear the rustling of writing. The students settled down to write a letter to their future from now.

老师准备了各种颜色的火漆蜡和印章，同学们亲手制作独一无二的火漆封印。看着融化的蜡油滴在信封口，压上印章的那一刻，把对未来的期待都封存起来。这些信将被保存在学校的"时光胶囊"里，等到毕业的时候将再次开启。

The teacher prepared various colored sealing wax and stamps. The students personally created unique wax seals. Watching the melted wax drip onto the envelope flap and pressing a stamp into it, they sealed their hopes for the future within. These letters will be kept in the school's "Time Capsule" to be reopened upon graduation.

紧随报到日之后的新生夏令营，为同学们提供了一个渐进式的适应过程，让大家在轻松愉悦的氛围中，顺利完成从假期到学期的过渡。

The New Student Summer Camp, following immediately after registration day, provided a gradual adaptation process, allowing everyone to smoothly transition from holiday to semester in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

周一一早，新生们集聚一堂。通过"蒙眼挑战""单词拼图"等需要协作完成的游戏，同学们在不知不觉中增进了了解。一个上午的时间，很多同学已经找到了志趣相投的伙伴，相约一起参加接下来的活动。

On Monday morning, the new students gathered together. Through collaborative games like "Blindfolded Challenges" and "Word Puzzles," the students got to know each other almost without realizing it. Within just one morning, many had found like-minded partners and made plans to attend subsequent activities together.

In the Sci-Tech innovation classroom, students, under the teacher's guidance, used their bodies to mimic bridge structures to deepen their understanding of various bridge types.

In the Psychological Growth class, students paired up and took turns sharing experiences of happiness and worrise.

科学集市内，各组合作搭建简单的机械装置，学习并了解电路连接，光线反射，酸碱中和及焰色反应。

At the Science Fair, groups cooperated to build simple mechanical devices, learning about circuit connections, light reflection, acid-base neutralization, and flame tests.

英语课堂上，在外教老师和中教老师的带领下，同学们通过自我介绍接龙、个人喜好快问快答等游戏，在轻松有趣的氛围中练习英语表达。

In the English class, led by foreign and Chinese teachers, students practiced English expression through games like self-introduction relays and rapid-fire Q&A about personal preferences in a light-hearted and fun atmosphere.

数学老师通过让同学们了解游戏规则，运用游戏规则，以及总结游戏方法。类比学习知识的过程，新课讲授，运用知识，总结知识。通过游戏的方式，让数学学习变得有趣。

The math teacher makes learning mathematics fun through gaming by having students understand the game rules, apply them, and summarize gaming strategies. This process is analogous to learning knowledge: introducing new lessons, applying knowledge, and summarizing key takeaways.

艺术课中，大家尝试用土豆进行印章创作，完成了一幅独一无二的画作。

In the Art class, everyone tried creating prints using potatoes, completing a unique piece of art.

体育课上，在老师的带领锻炼下，同学们寻找自我的体育爱好，熟悉校内体育课程体系，在运动中找寻快乐。

During PE class, led by the teacher through exercises, students explored their sporting interests, familiarized themselves with the school's physical education system, and found joy in movement.

这些课程不仅让同学们提前了解学校的教学方式，更激发了大家对知识的兴趣和探索欲望。

These courses not only allowed students to preview the school's teaching methods but also sparked their interest and desire to explore knowledge.
