深圳曼校八载笃行庆华诞 多项第一铸就英式教育新标杆

11月29日，深圳曼彻斯通城堡学校在初冬的暖阳中迎来了建校八周年的重要时刻。风笛悠扬，笑语盈园，近千名学生、家长、校友及各界嘉宾齐聚城堡校园，共同见证这一承载八年耕耘与硕果的温情庆典。

当天上午，典礼在悠扬的苏格兰风笛声中拉开帷幕。深圳曼校执行校长Ben与中方校长袁汇女士分别致辞，深情回顾学校八年发展历程。袁汇校长在发言中谈到：“八年前，我们作为深圳首家纯英式国际学校，秉持‘学术卓越、最具温暖’的初心扎根于此。从最初的探索前行，到今天成长为大湾区英式国际学校的领跑者，每一步都凝聚着全体曼校人的智慧、坚守与热爱。”

典礼上，当大屏幕播放由遍布全球的曼校校友发来的祝福视频时，现场欢呼声和掌声不断，在场许多嘉宾感动落泪，温情氛围令人动容。

自2018年创校以来，曼校始终坚持“学术卓越、最具温暖”的办学理念，逐步构建出独具特色的教育体系。八年间，学校不断刷新纪录，不仅成为大湾区英式国际学校中首个收获剑桥大学录取offer的开拓者，2025届毕业生更实现“人均一封英国G5大学offer”的卓越成绩，印证了学校在教学成果上的持续领先。

在2026早申阶段，曼校学子再传喜讯，截止目前已收获7封牛剑以及1封帝国理工学院，2封香港大学医学院的面邀offer，覆盖医学、土地经济、生物医学工程、纯艺术等多元学科，展现出学校跨领域、全方位的办学实力。

校庆典礼上，学校正式发布"奈皮尔数学天才班计划"，设立500万元专项奖学金，面向全球招募5名具有杰出数学天赋的学生。该计划旨在继承和发扬数学家约翰·奈皮尔的科学精神，寻找并培养“下一个Hyde”——即具备深厚数学潜力、渴望突破自我并能走向世界顶尖学府的未来数学英才。入选者将进入曼校皇家一英里学院，接受系统化、个性化的教育，延续曼校在高端人才培养上的卓越传统。

此外，曼校今年还荣膺培生爱德思考试局颁发的“摘星揽月奖”与“杰出学子奖”，成为大湾区唯一获此双重荣誉的纯英式国际学校，标志着其教育质量获得全球权威体系的高度认可。

本次校庆游园会实现了全面创新升级，联合40余家知名企业及机构共同打造了一场跨界联动的欢乐盛会。合作伙伴涵盖国际知名企业与科创先锋，通过精心设计的互动展区、创意工坊和科技体验项目，为与会者带来了一场别开生面的教育盛宴。

On November 29th, Shenzhen Merchiston International School (MIS) welcomed its 8th anniversary bathed in the soft warmth of early winter sunlight. The campus echoed with the majestic sound of bagpipes and joyful laughter as nearly a thousand students, parents, alumni, and distinguished guests gathered at the castle-style school grounds to witness this heartwarming celebration marking eight years of dedication and achievement.

The ceremony commenced that morning with the elegant melody of Scottish bagpipes. Ben, Executive Head of MIS, and Wendy, the National Head of MIS, delivered opening speeches, fondly reflecting on the school's journey over the past eight years. Ms. Wendy remarked, "Eight years ago, as Shenzhen's first pure British-style international school, we established ourselves here guided by our founding ethos of 'Academic Excellence with Warmth.' From our initial exploratory steps to becoming a leader in British-style international education within the Greater Bay Area, every achievement has been made possible through the wisdom, perseverance, and heartfelt dedication of every member of the MIS community."

As a video featuring blessings from MIS alumni across the globe played on the large screen, cheers and applause resonated throughout the venue. Many attendees were moved to tears, creating a profoundly touching atmosphere.

Since its establishment in 2018, MIS has consistently adhered to the educational philosophy of "Academic Excellence with Warmth," gradually building a distinctive educational system. Over these eight years, the school has continuously set new records – not only becoming the pioneering British-style international school in the Greater Bay Area to receive an offer from the University of Cambridge but also achieving the remarkable distinction where the Class of 2025 received "an average of one G5 university offer per student," demonstrating the school's sustained leading position in teaching outcomes.

In the 2026 early application round, MIS students have again delivered outstanding news. To date, the school has received seven Oxbridge interview invitations, along with one from Imperial College London and two from the University of Hong Kong Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine. These span diverse fields including Medicine, Land Economy, Biomedical Engineering, and Pure Arts, showcasing the school's comprehensive, cross-disciplinary educational strength.

During the anniversary ceremony, the school officially launched the "Napier Mathematical Prodigy Class Plan," establishing a special RMB 5 million scholarship to recruit five students with exceptional mathematical talent globally. The plan aims to inherit and promote the scientific spirit of mathematician John Napier, seeking to nurture the "next Hyde" – future mathematical talents possessing profound potential, a drive for self-breakthrough, and the capability to advance to the world's top universities. Selected students will join the MIS Royal Mile (RM) Academy to receive systematic, personalized education, continuing MIS's distinguished tradition of cultivating high-caliber talent.

Furthermore, MIS was honored this year with the "Star-Chasing Award" and the "Outstanding Pearson Learner Award" from Pearson Edexcel, making it the only pure British-style international school in the Greater Bay Area to receive this dual recognition – a testament to the global authoritative accreditation of its education quality.

The anniversary fair underwent comprehensive innovation and upgrade, uniting over 40 renowned enterprises and institutions to co-create a cross-border collaborative joyous event. Partners included internationally recognized companies and tech pioneers, who through meticulously designed interactive exhibition zones, creative workshops, and technology experience projects, provided attendees with a unique educational feast.
