This week, Class One transformed into superheroes! We read the exciting story Supertato and explored the world of superpowers. The children shared their ideas about what makes a hero and imagined their own unique abilities.
这一周,Class 1 的小朋友们摇身一变,都变成了超级英雄。我们一起阅读了精彩有趣的绘本故事 《超级土豆历险记》 (Supertato),探索了奇妙的超能力世界。孩子们踊跃分享了自己心中英雄的模样,天马行空地想象着属于自己的独特超能力。
In our science activities, we planted bean seeds and watched them sprout—just like little super plants growing strong! This tied in beautifully with our discussions on healthy eating during our Unit of Inquiry (UOI), where we learned how good food choices help us stay strong and energised.
在科学探索活动中,我们亲手种下了豆子种子,并观察它们破土发芽——就像一棵棵充满力量的“超级小苗”在茁壮成长!这和我们探究单元 (UOI) 中关于“健康饮食”的讨论完美结合,孩子们了解到:选择健康的食物能帮助我们变得更强壮、更有活力!
Our sound of the week was S—for Superhero! We practiced identifying and writing the sound through fun games and activities.

In Maths, we focused on number recognition, counting, and measuring. The children enjoyed hands-on activities that helped them understand size, length, and quantity in a superhero-themed context.

It’s been a super-powered week of learning, growing, and imagining!

This week in Class 2, our young explorers set off on a journey to discover the many ways we move from place to place. Through stories, songs, art, and hands-on construction, we learned how different forms of transport help us travel across land, through the air, and over the sea.
本周,Class 2的小小探索家们开启了一段全新的旅程:探索从一个地方到另一个地方的方式。我们通过故事、歌曲、艺术创作和动手搭建灯活动,学习了不同交通工具,并了解这些交通方式如何帮助我们穿越陆地、翱翔天空、跨越海洋。

We began with the story ‘Duck in a Truck’, which sparked lots of laughter and great discussions about teamwork and how transport can help us solve problems. The children enjoyed bringing the story to life through drama, developing their confidence and cooperation skills along the way.

Throughout the week, we thought about places we’d like to visit and what kind of transport we’d need to get there. In Literacy, the children used simple writing prompts and drawings to plan and design their own vehicles, using imaginative ideas and vocabulary to express themselves.

Our UOI focus allowed us to sort and classify different types of transport, compare their features, and reflect on their purposes. Using recycled materials, children designed and built their own creative transport models — from spaceships to submarines — applying their understanding of shapes and structures while developing their fine motor and problem-solving skills.

Week 2 of summer school was an exciting deep dive into the enchanting world of ocean animals! Our theme revolved around the mysteries of the ocean and the extraordinary creatures that call it their home. In our literacy sessions, we embarked on a thrilling adventure through the pages of "How Deep In The Ocean?" This captivating book introduced the students to the different ocean zones and the diverse animals that inhabit each zone. The children eagerly immersed themselves in the text, discovering the names of the ocean zones and uncovering the depths at which these amazing animals dwell. It was truly captivating to see their curiosity and involvement as they retold the story together as a group.
暑期班第二周,我们满怀激动地踏入了迷人的海洋动物世界! 本周主题聚焦于探索海洋的奥秘,以及那些栖息其中的神奇生物。在读写课上,我们借助《海洋到底有多深?》(How Deep In The Ocean?) 这本书,开启了一段奇妙的阅读探险。 这本引人入胜的读物带领学生们认识了不同的海洋区域,以及生活在各个区域里的丰富多样的动物。孩子们专注阅读,积极发现:他们不仅记住了海洋各层的名称,还探究了——这些神奇生物究竟生活在多深的海域。 看着他们一起复述故事时那充满好奇又全情投入的模样,真是令人欣喜!

During our math classes, the students navigated through the concepts of position, direction, and movement with great enthusiasm. They learned to describe movements forwards, backwards, above, and below, as well as mastering the use of ordinal numbers.

In our Unit of Inquiry (UOI) sessions, we marveled at the incredible array of ocean animals that dwell beneath the waves. The children joyfully shared their favorite ocean creatures, igniting lively discussions and a sense of wonder. Together, we crafted a mind map to showcase the multitude of ocean animals we could name as a group, fostering teamwork and shared knowledge. As we delved deeper into the ocean zones, we were spellbound by the unique and fascinating creatures that inhabit each zone.

Preparations for our upcoming assembly performance were in full swing as we transformed the story "How Deep In The Ocean?" into a captivating play. The children enthusiastically participated in creating props and diligently rehearsed their lines for the performance. Their dedication and creativity shone through as they collaborated to bring the story to life on stage. It was truly remarkable to witness their hard work and teamwork in action!

During a lively week at summer school, Class 4 delved into the fascinating world of the human body.
在充满活力的一周里,Class 4 深入研究了奇妙的人体世界。




We looked at the form and function of healthy teeth, bones, and muscles through practical activities and experiments. Children used an egg to demonstrate how the skull protects our brain. They crafted model teeth and assembled a skeleton, enhancing their understanding of anatomy. The children also explored the three types of muscles—skeletal, smooth, and cardiac—and learned how each functions in the body. Related to the body, in Maths, we honed our measurement skills, practising being accurate when using centimeters and meters.

The week culminated in our assembly performance, a doctor's office role play, and the students' favourite song: "Dem bones!"

This week in Class 5, we have embarked on an exciting journey into the world of the Vikings! We explored various aspects of Viking life, focusing on creating our own unique Viking characters and building our very own longships. Throughout the week, we have developed our creative writing skills, crafting epic tales of adventure on the high seas.

Class 5 Review

In addition to our creative projects, we engaged in collaborative and competitive math challenges that involved a range of operations and multi-step problem-solving. These activities not only sharpened our math skills but also fostered teamwork and friendly competition among classmates.

With such an adventurous week behind us, we eagerly look forward to beginning our new topic next week, ready to delve into something completely different!
