Lingnan Culture Month Celebration | 童享岭南趣,庆典乐开怀


Guided by IB inquiry, each class explored Lingnan culture throughout the month: K3 classes investigated Xiguan and Hakka architecture; K2 classes engaged with porcelain painting and lion dance; K1 and PreK classes discovered local cuisine.
一个月来,天启幼儿园以IB探究理念为指引,带领孩子们解锁岭南文化密码:大班探秘西关大屋与客家围屋的建筑智慧,中班玩转广彩与醒狮的艺术魅力,小班和小小班则在岭南美食的认知与创作中感受生活乐趣。

The event began at 9:05 AM in a warm, applauding multipurpose hall.
Cantonese teacher Ricky led a review, followed by fascinating introductions to the "Chicken-Public Olive" and dough figurine crafts, sparking the children's excitement.
上午9点05分,二楼多功能厅内暖意融融、掌声阵阵,结题庆典正式拉开帷幕。
粤语老师Ricky带着孩子们进行岭南文化课程回顾,孩子们对岭南文化的了解让人眼前一亮同时,非遗项目“鸡公揽”“捏面人”的趣味介绍,更让孩子们眼中满是期待,迫不及待想要开启这场文化体验之旅。




A "Cantonese Children's Choir" performed lovingly.
PreK sang Five Little Ducks; K1 performed One Pot, Two Pieces with charming actions.
艺术成果展示环节,一场 “粤语童声盛宴” 温情上演。
小小班宝贝们带来《五只鸭仔》《一起走到动物园》,奶声奶气的演唱萌翻全场;小班的《一盅两件》唱出早茶的惬意,搭配稚嫩动作惟妙惟肖。

K2 added percussion to Which Family's Chicken; K3 delivered a powerful rendition of Look Over Together, passing on Lingnan's linguistic heritage.
中班的《何家公鸡何家猜》融合欢快打击乐,节奏感十足,引得家长们跟着拍手打节拍;大班的《齐齐望过去》《河边有只羊》气势昂扬,地道唱腔赢得阵阵喝彩,让岭南语言文化在童声中传递。




Outdoor games filled the playgrounds with cheers for "Eagle Catches Chicks" and successful "arrow tossing." Children walked on stilts and danced with mini dragons.
户外游戏区热闹非凡,传统游戏让孩子们乐不思蜀。
四楼操场上,“老鹰捉鸡仔” 的追逐声、“投壶” 成功的欢呼声此起彼伏;一楼操场上,孩子们在家长搀扶下踩着高跷稳步前行,舞着彩色小龙尽情奔跑,脸上洋溢着勇敢挑战的笑容。

Indoors, they touched lion heads, played drums, and watched a dough figurine artisan craft their ideas into keepsakes, cycling through each activity with delight.
多功能室内的醒狮体验馆里,孩子们亲手触摸狮头、敲击鼓点,感受传统表演的豪迈;一楼大堂的捏面人摊位前,非遗传承人樊老师巧手翻飞,将孩子们的创意变成可爱面人,宝贝们捧着 “专属手作” 笑得合不拢嘴。各班有序轮换体验,孩子们乐不思蜀。


Display areas featured children's creations: model houses, porcelain plate art, and lion dance crafts.
幼儿园各楼层的展示区宛如迷你岭南文化展。孩子们亲手创作的西关大屋模型、客家围屋搭建、广彩纸盘、醒狮手作整齐陈列,色彩斑斓、创意十足。

"Little docents" explained their work confidently: "My wall disperses heat," while teachers shared the stories behind each piece.
中大班的 “小小讲解员” 自信满满地介绍作品:“我的镬耳墙能散热”“我的广彩有金色线条”,语言清晰有条理;小班老师温柔讲解每件作品背后的探索故事,让家长深入了解孩子的成长。

This celebration showcased the month's learning through the IB approach. Children deepened cultural understanding and skills through play.
这场结题庆典既是岭南文化月成果的集中呈现,更是 IB 教育理念的生动实践。孩子们在 “玩中学、学中乐”,深化了文化认知,锻炼了多项能力,心中种下文化自信的种子。


This celebration showcased the month's learning through the IB approach. Children deepened cultural understanding and skills through play. Lingnan flavours, like egg tarts and stir-fried ho fun, were woven into meals for natural immersion.
Though the month has ended, cultural exploration continues. BKIK will keep integrating tradition into IB learning, nurturing children as globally-minded, culturally-confident citizens.
而岭南美食的体验则自然融入一日生活:早餐的蛋挞、午餐的干炒牛河与豉油鸡,还有餐后清甜的岭南水果,让孩子们在三餐之间悄悄感受岭南饮食的鲜香风味,让文化浸润更显自然。
