For FCG students, receiving a scholarship is not only recognition of achievement but also an opportunity to reflect on their efforts and growth over the past academic year.
In classrooms, students discussed academic challenges together, filling their notebooks with annotations and calculations that ultimately led to outstanding A* results. During field studies, students explored the ecological impact of golden apple snails on rice paddies. They observed how crops respond to salt stress, producing detailed research reports that reflected their sense of responsibility and dedication.
One student spent weeks studying a physics formula and went on to win a gold medal in the 2024 British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) Round 1. Another student, who worked late into the evening to refine art pieces, later received a gold medal in the Picasso International Youth Painting Competition (Round 1). A third student practised calligraphy daily and won first prize in the soft brush calligraphy category of the 9th "Ode to Hope" National Youth Art Exhibition. Each achievement was the result of consistent effort and commitment.
FCG students achieved notable results in a range of competitions, including:
Gold and bronze medals in the 2025 Ivy League Cup Asia-Pacific Finals;
Sixth place globally in the MEC Global Competition organised by Hitotsubashi ICS in Tokyo;
Team bronze and individual runner-up and third place in the Spelling Bee Asia Cup Finals;
A gold medal in the primary school category of the 6th National Composition Competition;
A national gold medal in the 2024 HOSA Future Health Professionals Challenge.
The scholarship selection process was based on four main criteria: academic performance, conduct, participation, and competition results. After a comprehensive evaluation, 96 students were awarded scholarships totalling nearly 10 million RMB.
The scholarships cover various areas, including academics, the arts, and individual talents, thereby recognising excellence across different fields. Some students were awarded the 1st Class Scholarship for outstanding academic or artistic performance; others received the 2nd Class Scholarship for strong academic ability, innovation, and overall competence. The 3rd Class Scholarship recognised students with consistent academic achievement and a diligent attitude. The Excellence in Distinguished Talent Award was awarded to those who excelled in the arts, sports, or scientific innovation, while the Outstanding Achievement Award recognised students who demonstrated significant improvement and growth.
The steady development of FCG students is supported by the school's strong academic foundation, innovative curriculum, and committed teaching team. These scholarships represent the school's recognition of student achievement and its encouragement of all students to continue pursuing excellence, maintain their curiosity for learning, and strive for continuous improvement.
Congratulations to all scholarship recipients.
