Reading Month Recap | 在书页间，看见世界的倒影

From “Reading Buddies” to “Parent Story Time,” reading became a shared experience.

从“书友共读”到“家长故事会”，阅读不再是一个人的旅程，而是一次次心与心的连接。

Older and younger children teamed up to read and reflect together, showing empathy and responsibility in every conversation.

在“书友共读”活动中，不同年级的孩子以语言为桥，共享阅读想象，在故事讨论中展现IB学习者的责任感与同理心。

Parents also stepped into the classroom, bringing warmth and wonder as they shared their favourite stories. These moments helped build a strong reading culture both at school and at home.

而在“家长故事会”中，一个个温暖的身影走进教室，为孩子打开一个个想象的世界。这种亲子共读的陪伴，不仅提升了语言能力，更润物无声地培养了家庭的阅读文化。 

Through bilingual stories, role-play, drama and crafts, children explored tales from around the globe.

阅读，是孩子们认知世界的窗口。

围绕探究主题，我们在课程中开展了一系列以“故事”为核心的多元阅读探索：角色扮演、童话戏剧、手工制作……

These experiences reflected the essence of international-mindedness, a core value of the IB. 

Through reading, children began to understand their place in a wider world, recognising differences, embracing diversity, and developing open-mindedness and cross-cultural communication skills. 

这正是IB所倡导的“国际情怀”（International-mindedness）的体现——借由阅读，孩子们逐渐意识到自己是更大世界的一部分，理解文化差异，欣赏多样性，培养开放的心态与跨文化的沟通能力。 

We designed a series of engaging and coherent reading activities to inspire children’s curiosity and love of learning. 

我们以阅读为媒介，用多元而连贯的活动，激发孩子们对知识的热情与对世界的好奇。 

Head of School visited classrooms to share lively picture books, sparking thoughtful conversations and encouraging children to bring stories to life through their own reflections and interpretations. 

Adel园长走进各班，用生动的绘本讲读引发孩子们的思考与表达，让书中的角色跃然纸上。 

Our “Online Group Reading Marathon” brought families together around books, while the Book Fair offered a wide selection of high-quality Chinese and English titles. From home to school, reading became a joyful part of daily life. 

“线上阅读马拉松”则让阅读走进家庭，孩子们与家长一同在生活节奏中为书本留白，感受知识探索的乐趣。无声的默契在翻页的节奏中生长。 

图书展则精选中英文优质读物与多元文化书籍，拓宽孩子和家庭的阅读边界，为每一个好奇心提供合适的落点。 

During our reading assembly, students proudly shared what they had read and discovered—each voice a testament to growth. 

在“阅读集会”上，我们和孩子们回顾了本月的阅读活动，孩子们自信地分享自己的阅读收获。 

In a screen-filled world, BKIK continues to value the simple beauty of printed books.

在这个被电子屏幕包围的时代，天启始终坚持以纸质阅读为载体，通过一系列贴近儿童生活与兴趣的阅读活动，引导孩子重新发现文字的温度与书页的质感。 

Reading helps children slow down, reflect, and connect. More than just learning words, they are learning how to think, feel, and understand. 

我们相信，真正的教育不仅在于知识与技能的传授，更在于习惯的养成、思维的拓展与情感的滋养。

阅读，是一切深度学习的起点，也是孩子认识自我、理解世界的重要路径。
